Marafiki Beach Bar

A thatched deck bar on Matemwe beach, with kitesurfers on the lagoon. The beach bar of Marafiki Beach Hotel sits on a wooden deck under thatch, right on Matemwe's long white beach. Guests describe a laid-back crowd of hotel guests, kiters and people from neighbouring lodges, with chilled beers and cocktails as the afternoon fades. On some evenings there's live music — a band or a Swahili drumming group — and occasionally a DJ.
